Privacy Policy

• Account and profile information, including your name, email address, avatar, country, timezone, education status, Japanese level, and profile biography.
• Recommendation information you submit, such as academic results, language-test results, budget, preferred fields, location, and application timeline.
• Community and product activity, including Q&A posts, replies, likes, views, resource saves and downloads, course activity, and feedback.
• Booking and transaction records, including appointment details, provider payment identifiers, purchase type, and account entitlement status.
• Technical information needed for security, performance, and analytics. IP addresses may be used temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

• Create and secure your account and keep your profile synchronized.
• Generate university and scholarship recommendations and reports.
• Provide community, course, resource, mentorship, and booking features.
• Process purchases, manage access tiers, and provide customer support.
• Measure service reliability, understand feature use, and prevent abuse.
• Meet legal, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.

ScholarStark uses DeepSeek to help generate recommendation content and Tavily to research current information on universities and scholarships. Information from your recommendation form may be sent to these providers when needed to produce the service you requested.

Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in free-text answers. Generated recommendations should be reviewed before making education or financial decisions.

Stripe and Dodo Payments process purchases through their hosted checkout pages. ScholarStark receives transaction identifiers, payment status, product information, and limited customer details needed to grant access and support purchases. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

Cal.com processes appointment scheduling information, including attendee name, email, event details, and booking status.

ScholarStark uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for website performance and usage telemetry. We also offer optional Google Analytics to understand visits and navigation patterns. Your Google Analytics preference is stored in your browser asscholarstark.analytics-consent.

You can change your choice through Privacy settings in the public footer or the Privacy section of your account settings. Google may process analytics data under its own privacy terms.

Depending on the feature you use, these providers may process information:

• Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage.
• Vercel for hosting, performance monitoring, and web analytics.
• Stripe and Dodo Payments for hosted payment processing.
• Cal.com for booking and appointment management.
• DeepSeek and Tavily for recommendation generation and web research.
• Google Analytics for optional analytics and Google Sheets for feedback handling.
• Discord when you choose to follow a community invitation.

Providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or in connection with a business reorganization. We do not sell personal information.

Account, profile, recommendation, community, and booking information may be kept while your account is active and afterward when needed for support, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Transaction records may be retained for accounting and fraud-prevention requirements.

ScholarStark does not currently publish one fixed retention period for every data category. You may request deletion by contacting us. Some records may remain where retention is required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

ScholarStark uses authenticated access, database row-level security, private storage, encrypted connections, restricted administrative tools, and hosted payment pages. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so protect your password and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

• Update available profile fields through account settings.
• Allow or reject Google Analytics and change that preference later.
• Request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of applicable personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing where local law provides that right.

ScholarStark does not currently provide a self-service account export or deletion button. Send requests to info@scholarstark.com from the email associated with your account so we can verify the request. Rights vary by location, and certain legal or transaction records may not be immediately deletable.

Our users and service providers operate internationally. This means information may be processed in countries with privacy rules different from those where you live. If you are below the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country, use ScholarStark with a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may contact us about a young person's information.
